Sharks - Chasing Shadows

In 2023, Chasing Shadows, a book about the resurgence in the white shark population in the western North Atlantic, was published. Co-authored by shark scientist Greg Skomal and science writer Ret Talbot, the book includes maps and illustrations by Karen. The pieces here are pieces that Karen created for the book. Most of the original art hung in the Karen Talbot Art Gallery as part of her 2023 Summer show titled Beyond the Pages: An Artistic Journey, which featured her work in three new books: Chasing Shadows, Searching for Home Waters and Fly Fishing Maine.
